Farming family portraits

Whether you live on a quarter-acre block in town or hundreds of acres of working farmland, rural families share some special values: authenticity, legacy, and a sense of belonging to the community and the land which sustains us. I’m passionate about shooting outdoor family portrait sessions which connect to the ‘sense of place’ we all love about our region. The window of time when you can capture three or more generations together in one photo is a brief one; cherish the moment and treat yourself to a treasured family keepsake that lasts forever. 

My sessions are relaxed, candid, professional, gentle and FUN! Even the most camera-shy people find them easy. My work captures you and your family, as you are. Pet portraits can be included. Photo sessions can be at your choice of location (family farms are a favourite) and are flexible in duration (short shoots with a special selection of images, or longer sessions with a treasury collection for you to choose from). 

Golden hour, when the light is softest in the afternoon, is always my preferred time for taking family photos, and I recommend hosting your session in a location that you are all comfortable in.
